Inconsistency has been the Sharks’ biggest problem throughout their 2018 Super Rugby campaign according to assistant coach Dick Muir.
But at Kings Park on Saturday, they are looking to put together the perfect performance against the Jaguares to sneak into the playoffs of the competition.
After losing to the Stormers at Newlands last weekend, the Sharks shot themselves in the foot and now have to hope that the Highlanders beat the Rebels and then also beat the Jaguares to make it to the last eight.
Muir says: “We’ve had this problem all season, we’ve been inconsistent, we play one good game, one bad one, then a good half followed by a bad half.
“I think there is some work that needs to be done to find out what is contributing to that.”
He adds: “We made 14 handling errors [against the Stormers] which is just uncharacteristic for our guys.”
