The Stormers pack is hurting after their performance in the 41-22 defeat to the Lions at Ellis Park last weekend.
And tighthead prop Wilco Louw says they have a point to prove when they get down for the front-row shove in their Super Rugby encounter against the Sunwolves at Newlands on Saturday.
He explains: “This past weekend, we struggled at scrum time. We pride ourselves on our scrum and we can’t be proud of that performance. We have to scrum better. We owe it to ourselves.”

Louw admits that they also have to up their defensive game this week, knowing that they can’t afford any more slip-ups.
After the Sunwolves, the Stormers welcome the Sharks to Newlands and if they can win both those games they are still in with a shot at the playoffs.
Louw adds: “We don’t doubt that we are still in the running in the tournament. The next two games are important and we want to make a success out of this season.”
Of returning to Newlands, he adds: “It’s just awesome to play at Newlands, it’s really special.
“We want to make ourselves and our supporters proud. We worked hard throughout the season”
