More versions of the alleged racist attack involving Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth have emerged.
On Tuesday a Whatsapp voice note started making the rounds in which a man claimed: “ Ons het baklei aan die einde van die aand met Etzebeth, dit was p*** mal, jassis, hulle steek daai ou langs my se tjommie f***ed, bra.”
It is alleged Etzebeth and his friends were involved in a fight with a group of coloured men, whom they had allegedly called “ hotn***e”, outside Die Watergat pub in Langebaan early on Sunday morning.
Police have confirmed the matter is under investigation after several men had to be hospitalised, while the SA Rugby Union issued a statement saying they will co-
operate with authorities but is standing by Etzebeth’s version of events.
The 27-year-old lock, who has been selected to play in the Rugby World Cup in Japan next month, has denied taking part in the brawl and all allegations of racism.
This after Enver Blaauw and Yurayda Papier Jansen went on Facebook claiming the rugby player and his friends had attacked them.
Photos of a heavily injured Blaauw were also posted.
He told the Daily Voice:“Etzebeth moered me”, but didn’t want to elaborate further.
Two videos of the incident were also posted on YouTube, and on Wednesday a Whatsapp voice note, allegedly by a man who had fought alongside Etzebeth, emerged.

In the vuilbek voice note, a man with a white Afrikaans accent, says he was in the pub and had chatted to Etzebeth.
He says they all went outside to admire Etzebeth’s Ford Mustang, at about “3:30am”.
“ Toe kom daar ’n p**** klomp hotn**s, toe begin hulle daar te chirp en k@k, toe hou hulle (Etzebeth and his friends) nie hulle bek vir daai mense nie.
“Toe sê hulle vir hom hy speel k@k rugby, toe sê hy ja maar hulle is hotn***e en hulle behoort nie eens op straat nie so k@k is hulle, dit was p*** mal, ek het my in my n**** gelag.”
He alleges one of the coloured men then threw a brick at Etzebeth’s Mustang, and that’s when the fight broke out.
He says one of the “hotn**s” took out a gun, but Etzebeth’s friend took it from him and pistol whipped him in the face.
He says Etzebeth’s girlfriend came outside and he went to fetch the lock and sent him in.
He and Etzebeth’s friend apparently stayed behind and one of the coloured men allegedly stabbed the friend, “who was too drunk to run away, in the neck, f**ked up hospitaal toe”.
The owner of the pub, Riaan Reeders, confirmed there was a scuffle around midnight between a man and some of the guys who were with Etzebeth.
This included his brother Ryen and cousin Emile.
The incident happened in the upstairs bar and as a result the man was removed from the premises.
“Eben and his brother were not involved in that. I looked at the footage yesterday morning and they were sitting at the table with the women or whatever they weren’t part of it,” Reeders told Sport24.
He does not believe the brawl outside was related to the incident in the pub.
He says Etzebeth and his crew left the pub about 2am on Sunday.
Reeders says at the time, there was a group of people outside the pub across the road.
