Sri Lanka will be without veteran allrounder Angelo Mathews for their two-match Test series against South Africa.
The 33-year-old former captain is suffering from a hamstring problem and was missing from the 21-man squad announced on Thursday to play the Proteas in a Boxing Day Test at Centurion and a New Year Test at the Wanderers, which starts on January 3.
