Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is still not satisfied with his Premier League leaders, urging them to be more ruthless.
Guardiola was dikbek with his side after their nine shots at goal only yielded strikes for Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus in their 2-0 Champions League last-16 first-leg over Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday night.
And with City hosting fourth-placed West Ham in the league tomorrow, the coach wants his manne to be more clinical in front of goal as they chase a record-extending 20th win in row.
The Catalan says: “We were not clinical enough up front. Not clinical enough in the actions one against one with the keeper and defenders.
“We have to be better.
“We created a lot of chances in the final third, we committed their central defenders and we have to finish better.
“We have to think about recovery and West Ham.
“Today we did everything good but didn’t dribble and shoot [properly] and that’s what we have to improve in the next three days.”
West Ham arrive at Eastlands with three wins in their last four games and goalkeeper Fabianski vows to make it difficult for the league leaders.
Fabianski says: “What you are always going to get from us is that we’re going to perform and give the opponents a very difficult time.
“With us, you know we’re going to be tough and hard to beat and we’re very consistent when it comes to that.”
