The Dolphins have been boosted by the availability of Proteas yster David Miller for their 1-Day Cup defence.
The Durbanites kick off their campaign against the Titans in Potchefstroom tomorrow at 10am, before facing the Knights in an opening weekend Pool A double-header on Sunday.
Of having Miller in their team, coach Imraan Khan says: “The squad is pretty much our contracted group of players with a few surprises in there.
“There is a freshness to the squad and we get David Miller back. I don’t know when the last time he played for the Dolphins was, and there some other new names so we are looking forward to seeing how they fit into our culture and seeing them put in good performances for the team.
“Dave is a player with massive pedigree and we are expecting a lot from him, as you do from all your international players.
“He’s settled in really nicely into the environment and he’s been himself which is great and we’re excited to see what he can do for us on the park.”
Of playing in a bubble, Khan adds: “It’s been an interesting experience in the bio-bubble here but the boys are ready to go.
“As a team we enjoy the white-ball formats, so the guys are very excited and motivated to play some good cricket.”
