Cape Town Blitz coach Ashwell Prince says teamwork is the key to their success in the Mzansi Super League (MSL).
With three games left to play during the round-robin stage of the tournament, Blitz are eyeing top spot of the league which will guarantee them a place in the final.
A win over Jozi Stars at Newlands in Tuesday night's 7 pm clash will see Blitz edge closer to their goal.
Up against Reeza Hendricks, who has scored back-to-back centuries in the tournament, and the big-hitting Chris Gayle, Prince says they will rely on teamwork to get over the line.
The coach says of their success to date: “We’re trying to focus on team effort; I think that’s the most important thing.
“We have people who can be brilliant on the day - in the last game, Quinton [de Kock] was exactly that. Also if you look into the bowling department, it was a team effort.
“We’re trying to put the emphasis on team and when we’ve been in trouble, people stood up.
“I like to think that we have that kind of makeup in the team where we have good characters - people who are up for the fight regardless of the situation.”
