Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen starred for the Proteas in a T20 warm-up match against an Australia XI in Brisbane on Wednesday.
Man of the Match Markram, batting at No.3, scored 45 runs in an innings that included two sixes and five fours.
His heroics were matched by Klaasen who scored 41 off 23 balls as South Africa totalled an impressive 201/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
The Proteas failed to bowl out their hosts, with Chris Morris claiming two scalps.
But they restricted them to 160/7, meaning South Africa won the match by 41 runs.
The Proteas next face Australia in a one-off T20I on Saturday.
And Klaasen can’t wait for the game to begin.
He says: “After a tough series in the ODI campaign, and the way Faf [du Plessis] and David [Miller] went in the last match, the boys really enjoyed coming out and expressing themselves.
“The boys enjoy T20 cricket.”
