The SA Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) on Monday announced it will broadcast the Cricket World Cup which begins in England on Thursday.
South Africa are up against hosts England in the tournament opener at The Oval in London in an 11.30am start.
Though not all matches will be broadcast live, the announcement was a timely one just a matter of days before the tournament begins.
“The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and SuperSport are pleased to inform the South African public that they have concluded an agreement for the SABC to broadcast the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup,” the SABC said in a statement.

“This follows extensive negotiations between the parties.

“Some of these fixtures will be broadcast on a live basis and others, delayed and via highlights programmes. The SABC will announce details regarding its broadcast schedule of the matches shortly.”
