The Cape Cobras have not yet tasted victory in this year’s 4-Day Series.
With one defeat and two draws in their first three outings, assistant coach Faiek Davids knows they have to start winning soon as they gear up to face the Titans at Centurion in their fourth clash.
Their hosts for the next four days – with the match starting at 10am today – beat them in the first round of the competition by two wickets.
And Davids knows that if they want to flip the script, they will have to improve big time.
He says: “We’re still in it even if we haven’t won a game yet...
“We obviously need to get the ‘W’ under the belt.
“There are a few concerning things like the inconsistencies we have showed with the ball and also none of our batsmen kicking on to score big runs. We are concerned because we’re not having that rhythm of being on the front foot.
“In saying that, we’re still confident and we look forward to the challenge that will come in Pretoria.”
