Stormers skills coach Labeeb Levy says they have been hard at work to entertain their European hosts in the United Rugby Championship with their skills.
The Capetonians have lost their first two matches, going down to Italy’s Benetton 22-18 before losing to Ireland’s Munster 34-28.
But they started well in both matches, with last week’s first try against Munster showing how skilful the team can be.
The entire front row touched the ball, with tighthead prop Neethling Fouche passing the ball to loosehead Brok Harris whose quick hands found hooker Scarra Ntubeni.
The Bok hooker then drew two defenders before offloading to flyhalf Manie Libbok, who stepped past one defender before sending Warrick Gelant sailing over.
Of that try and the skills in their team, Levy says: “It’s something we’ve put more emphasis on the last two weeks.
“We’ve been looking at the European teams and they are good at what they do, but they are not overly-exposed to that style and we felt we’d bring something different
“It’s still a work in progress from an offload perspective and it’s not about just looking good, but knowing when to use it.”
The Stormers will look to show off their skills again when they face Scotland’s Edinburgh on Saturday.
