Chelsea climbed to the top of the Premier League standings last night with a 3-0 win over hosts Tottenham Hotspur.
Second-half goals from the unlikely trio of Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger were enough to keep coach Thomas Tuchel’s Blues unbeaten after four matches and level on points with Liverpool in second and Manchester United in third.
Made to work hard for their win, Chelsea bagged their first goal in the 50th minute when defender Marcos Alonso picked out Silva from a corner kick.
Silva outjumped Dele Alli to head home the opener, before midfielder Kante got a bit of a gelukskoot after his long-range strike took a deflection off Spurs’ Eric Dier in the 57th minute.
Rudiger finished off their hosts with a neat finish in added time.
