Springbok lock RG Snyman is set for another lang tydjie on the sidelines after suffering a re-rupture of his cruciate ligament in his club Munster’s 43-13 win over Scarlets on Sunday.
Snyman, 26, missed South Africa’s series against the British and Irish Lions as well as the Rugby Championship after undergoing surgery following a fire pit incident that also involved fellow Bok Damian de Allende.
And with the year-end tour around the corner, Munster coach Johann van Graan says of the knee injury: “We are all hugely disappointed for RG.
““After doing everything that was asked of him and working so hard to get back into great shape everyone feels for him right now.
“While this is a setback, we know RG is young and resilient given everything he has gone through in the last year so there is a strong sense of perspective here.”
