The Toyota Supra is another hunk of powered metal that those in the know crave. Great road car, better drift car, and all-round desirable vehicle with the vast tuning potential of that six-cylinder 2jz powerplant.
Just last month all four famous generations of this sports car were brought to one place, to greet and get up close and personal with the very latest incarnation, the all-new A90 Supra.
A select group of classic Toyota Supra owners from the UK were invited to the top-secret event during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the first in the world to behold the A90, with chief engineer Tetsuya Tada present to answer questions about the camouflaged prototype.
Earlier in the day, Tada had given thousands of enthusiasts an early taste of the vehicle’s dynamic performance by driving up the famous festival hill course, after which the prototype was whisked away to another location.
Tada drove the new A90 Supra into the building to rapturous applause from the enthusiasts. He positioned it on a rotating stand and then proudly introduced his “new baby” to the crowd.
Toyota expects its new Supra to reach the market during the first half of 2019.
