Stormers coach John Dobson admits that his side’s smash-and-grab 33-30 win over the Lions on Saturday “feels like a burglary”.
But the coach believes his team should have buried their opponents earlier in the encounter.
After Ruhan Nel scored a match-winning try with the last move of the match, Dobson says: “I took a view with that score [30-26] that was it [in the final minute].

“I said to the other coaches we chucked this one, start packing up it’d be too good to be true to get out of that.
“It was agony, but we showed some character.”
He adds: “I do feel we should have buried that game [earlier on].
“Ruhan Nel was five yards at 26-13 it feels like a burglary.”
The Stormers are the only unbeaten South African side in the competition after winning their first three games.
Dobson, though, believes they haven’t even hit their stride yet.
He says: “I don’t think we’re operating at half our capacity - I want to see us play more rugby.
“[But] three from three and you’re not firing is good.”
Up next for the high-flying Capetonians is a visit from the Jaguares, who won the South African Conference title in 2019.
Of the duel, Dobson adds: “They are touted to be the Conference winners, so it should be an absolute cracker. We are going to play a nicer brand of rugby than we have played over the last few weeks.”
