Ajax Cape Town had three weeks off with no official match and they have used the time for team-building exercises including going to the beach and strength tests at the Sports Science Institute.
Spokesman Shooz Mekuto tells the Daily Voice: “We played a friendly against Stellenbosch last week, with another friendly match coming up against a selection of players from Nyanga, Gugulethu and Philippi this weekend.
“We had our own version of MasterChef where players cooked for each, it was a diet challenge for them to cook the right way so that they cook the right kind of food when they are at home.
“We’ll be visiting Mitchells Plain to have lunch at Cafe Classique, Westgate Mall early next week.
“Not all our players are exposed there and we need them to be familiar with the area because we
have a lot of players in the first team and youth from Mitchells Plain.”
