I personally find it much easier
working out the fact that we’re all being lied to by an American narrative regarding the situation in Venezuela.
I also get the real reason Patricia De Lille fancies a ‘Good’ seat in Parliament at R1.2-million a year and in the run-up to last week’s election, why was there no loadshedding, despite a system that’s apparently in crisis.
But as for the current calamity at Old Trafford, I just can’t put my finger on the definitive issue.
Ed Woodward, Alex Ferguson, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the Glazer family don’t have a clue either. In fact, I don’t think anyone does.
Is it as simple as Paul Pogba agitating the dressing room? Is it post-Jose Mourinho honeymoon comedown? Could it be Ole’s lack of experience? Can fans blame the owners?
If so, what for?
All we do know for sure is that it’s a hugely-expensive assembly of players who aren’t performing as individuals or as a team. Well, maybe except Scott McTominay, who I have to take out the mix for his commitment.
Losing 2-0 at home on the last day of the season really was laughable. I mean, the one time you have to leave your fans with a bit of positive spirit blown away by a relegated club at OLD TRAFFORD!
That type of mystery extends to my club Chelsea. Who knows how we ended up third and in two finals?
It’s been poor to watch and painful to see a player like N’Golo Kante demoted to average, an old fart like Gonzalo Higuain lead the line, Pedro running around like a headless rat, Mateo Kovacic playing in reverse and Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek only deployed at the end of the campaign?

The questions popping up at the end of this season just keep coming
Why did Arsenal, who seemed to be on such a great
trajectory, fall apart in the league?
And as for Liverpool and Spurs the two Champions League semifinal comebacks?
Who could have predicted that?
But I tell you what, my faith in the game has been
totally restored.
I’m reeeeeally enjoying football at the moment.
The Premier League has just notched itself up another couple of steps and four teams contesting the European
trophies actually comes as no surprise.
I’ll be shocked if Liverpool lose to Spurs in Madrid and I hope they don’t.
They really are the bollox at the moment and despite past seasons when they’ve just looked "good", I’d go as far as saying, this year “they’re back”.
The biggest disappointment of course is that Manchester City are there too!
Pep Guardiola probably just about deserved the title, his side just edged it with regards to consistency when it
counted.
However, I believe Liverpool have consistently played the better football.
As much as I don’t like it, I’ve sat back most Saturdays and had to admire what Klopp has brought.
It’s the Liverpool of old, the Liverpool I remember as a youngster, most of y’all were too young to remember a great team, with great individuals and a great attacking mentality, who in my opinion, deserved to win it this year.
But hey, as they say, “football’s a cruel game” and I guess the only redeeming factor from this excellent season is that they still might be crowned European champions.
There’s a few games to go and of course I’ll be hoping Chelsea beat Arsenal, not so much for the title, but to keep dem damn Gooners out of the Champions League
City’ll win the FA Cup and again, hoping Liverpool do the business in Madrid. Mad, I’ve never wanted the Scousers to win a free kick, let alone another European trophy.
Despite bad history between Chelsea and Liverpool, our rivalry with Spurs is second to none. And, as is sung every week by Blues fans “we’re the only team in London with a European Cup”. That can’t change!”
