I’m still in shock good people… I mean, who would have imagined a few months ago that Chelsea could be on the verge of one of the greatest seasons in their history?
Maaaad! When I woke up the morning after the destruction of Real Madrid, I couldn’t help thinking about Frank Lampard. What’s he going through right now?
Is he happy his former team is in the FA Cup final, the final of the Champions League and pretty much secured a top-four finish, or devastated?
It’s clear for all to see the full extent of his premature appointment was as Chelsea boss now.
Every single player has improved under Thomas Tuchel, individually and as a unit. Well, except Hakim Ziyech – he gets the odd important goal, but does next to nothing for 88 minutes. Lazy, arrogant….
After weeks of criticism for dropping the likes of Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi, the German’s faith in Timo Werner and Kai Havertz has also paid off.
This team is now as good as any in Europe. Hold on, who is better in Europe? As mentioned last week, had Tuchel taken the reins at the beginning of the season who knows where the Blues would be?
Probably, on for all five trophies? Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League and just another cup for being so f*****g good.
Chelsea may end up with nothing this season, but it’s clear now, next season is gonna be a whole lot different. The west Londoners are back and with a couple of ins and outs in the transfer market under Tuchel’s technical direction, the prospect looks fierce.
I laughed smugly to myself thinking about comments from football mates who, prior to the Real semi, were saying “Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Casemiro are gonna kill you”. Bwahahahaha, what a trio of wankers, completely dominated and closed down in the middle of the park.
Was watching a video of N’Golo Kante leaving Stamford Bridge after the second leg… in a Mini. So lovely, what a humble, quiet guy, nothing fancy on or off the pitch, just the best in the world at what he does!
It’s amazing to think about the devastation the same Real midfield inflicted on Liverpool a couple of weeks before! Yeah, good times (for me), just gutted that a trip to Istanbul can’t happen.
If there was a great PR stunt for Uefa right now, they’d re-arrange the final to be played at Wembley (in front of fans).
Getting back to Werner. I know most of y’all think he’s k@k. That’s because some of you don’t understand football, you just go with what the crowd says on social media.
Anyone who watches a game a little deeper than what’s on the scoreboard will recognise his fantastic contribution to the new-look Chelsea.
His speed and running off the ball for 90 minutes is essential for drawing defenders and creating space for the likes of Havertz, Mason Mount and Kante to exploit.
Can you not see that? Is it so frikkin hard to grasp? Because the amount of mail, messages and general banter I get is nauseating.
Not only that, but for all you stat-heads out there, he’s reached double figures in assists and goals faster than anyone since Eden Hazard.
Yes, he’s missed too many sitters, but everyone knows strikers have “patches”.
Anyway, tonight United face Leicester, which could have further ramifications on the top places…
It does look like Leicester are fast becoming the Spurs of the Midlands, and Spurs are just Spurs.
Tomorrow, Chelsea have the easiest game on paper for a while against that other sh!t team in north London and then on Saturday its Cup final day!
Yaaaay! In case you hadn’t noticed I’m having a whale of a time right now! Must be hard for all you Chelsea haters…
Back to reality and let’s keep disciplined good people, infections are rising again. Do the right thing, keep your distance, mask up and wash dem handies!
