Bottom of the PSL is not where you want to be as a football club.
But for Stellenbosch FC, they seem to be OK with their current position at the foot of the log.
The newcomers have found the step-up to the big leagues a shock to the system.
The players who helped their promotion push by winning the NFD have taken some time to adapt to the quality of the top flight, while the new additions have slowly come to terms with their role as team leaders.
After a tough run of the results to the Kaizer Chiefs (4-0) and Mamelodi Sundowns (3-1), they are still in touch with the pack at the bottom of the table.
There is struggling Cape Town City one point above them while 11th place is within striking distance with just one win.
And they will get the chance to get out of the relegation zone next Saturday when they go to Baroka on the final day of 2019 action before the league goes on a break for the festive season.

Now that game against Bakgaga will be of massive importance for their morale as a club.
That lift will be just the sort of affirmation coach Steve Barker and his manne need to believe their mantra - that they are a club that belong in the PSL.
After Wednesday night’s frustrating defeat at champions Sundowns they will feel that they have something to prove.
They took the lead before having a dubious penalty awarded against them and going on to lose the match.
But there is even anger to focus on their next challenge.
And let’s hope, for the good of Cape football, that they can give themselves a merry Christmas break and look forward to a happy New Year.
