With Mo Salah struggling to find the back of the net in recent games, Liverpool are backing Daniel Sturridge to fire them past Napoli in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Sturridge reminded friend and foe of his “world-class" talent with a breathtaking equaliser at Chelsea in the Premier League at the weekend.
And defender Virgil van Dijk expects the striker to add to his goal tally in Naples.
He says: “Before I arrived at Liverpool, I said he was one of the best strikers in the league and he shows it when he’s fit. I know what he’s capable of, how good he can be and when he’s at his best, by playing against him. We have a great squad, world-class players, and he’s one of them.”
