Bloemfontein Celtic and Cape Town City played to a 0-0 draw in a midweek Premiership match at the Dr Molemela Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The result leaves Celtic and City in eighth and 11th place respectively on the league standings, with just 11 points separating second spot and last place as the Festive Season edges ever closer.
Chances were few and far between on a bumpy pitch in the Free State province with both teams particularly wasteful in the final third.

Siwelele ended the game strongly as the match finally sparked into life deep into the second half, Neo Maema sending his shot high and wide in the 80th minute after bursting into the box and creating a view of goal for himself.
The best chance of the game fell to the hosts with three minutes of regulation time remaining, but having done well to weave his way into a good area, Lucky Baloyi directed his shot straight at Sage Stephens who was well positioned to clear from danger.
