The Premier League is headed for a tight finish in both the title race and the remaining two Champions League spots.
Amazingly, such is the competition between the English top six, that it’s spilled into Europe.
All of Manchester City, Liverpool, Man United, Tottenham are still in the Champions League and Arsenal and Chelsea have a shot at Europa League glory.
And it’s created a subplot to the battle for the top four.
Title contenders City and Liverpool are swopping the lead every time they take the field and their duel could go down to the wire.
There are still a number of big games to play, with City still having to face Tottenham and United (April 20 and 24), while the Reds host Chelsea on the 14th.

But the battle between the four teams vying for the remaining two top-four places and their exploits in Europe is where it gets crazy.
Let’s say the league were to end today, with Arsenal winning their 32nd match to go third above Spurs, that top four would play Champions League next season.
However, whichever team gets that fourth place may be the biggest loser if both the Champions League and Europa League winners are English.
If that was the final table, but the teams outside of the top four won the European title, as an example, United take the Champions League and Chelsea take the Europa League, then there would be five teams going to the top competition.
But then only the top-three league finishers would get into the Champions League because the Europa League winner also qualifies for the elite competition.
So this season’s finale is more important than any ever in the Prem’s history. And I’m making no predictions.
