The new Springbok coach will be named at 2pm in Pretoria today.
The South Africa Rugby Union yesterday announced that Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus and the union’s president Mark Alexander will announce the new mentor at a media conference.
It is widely expected that the new man at the helm of Bok rugby will be former defence coach Jacques Nienaber.
The other coach linked to the job is former Kings boss Deon Davids.
Erasmus, who guided SA to World Cup glory last year, told AFP earlier in the week of Nienaber possibly being appointed: “His passion, knowledge and work ethic around defence were evident from the start.

“Jacques deals brilliantly with people, getting messages across clearly.
“He is a wonderful person and, if chosen, would be a great replacement. From physiotherapist to Springbok head coach - what a story.”
The head coach’s assistants will also be named.
