After two bonus-point wins over Macassar and Young Peoples, Goodwood are the early surprise package in Super League B this year.
Having won promotion from Super C last season, the northern suburbs side made a superb start to the season and are currently in third place on the log.
Whether they will stay there is the big question - a question that might be answered on Saturday when they travel to Strand to face St George’s.
Goodwood are one of three teams with a perfect record in the league to date - the others are log-leaders Helderberg, who look like the team to beat this year.
The Berge, though, will keep their perfect record in tact because they have a bye this weekend.
Vineyards are the only other team with a perfect start.
They will have their run under threat from Bellville on Saturday.
Elsewhere, the match against
Macassar and Belhar promises to be an entertaining one.
It was expected that Belhar would be one of the teams fighting for promotion back to Super League A this year and while that still remains a reality, life in SLB is is a little more competitive than they perhaps expected it to be.
After opening their season with a win over Hamlets, Belhar played to a 31-31 draw with Franschhoek in their last encounter. They will have to find their level soon.
