When it comes to hypercars, the toss up is often between whether it’s made for the street and track or made solely for the track.
When it comes to road cars, there are always legal hoops to jump through that can, in the final reckoning, which compromises the engineers' work if they were putting all they have into the performance. The thing is; a compromise will always remains just that, something short of the real deal.
That’s why when Bobby Nitro saw that Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s upcoming SCV12 is for track use only, he started craving one!
UNLEASH THE BEAST: Lamborghini Squadra Corse SCV12
The SCV12 is touted as being the car maker’s most powerful V12 ever, with an output said to exceed 619kW, and of course volumes will be limited, which is the usual. Lucky (read super-rich) drivers will, however, get to participate in advanced driving programmes at some of the world’s top tracks under the tutoring of five-time Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro.
A classic rear-wheel drive hypercar with a six-speed sequential gearbox, the SCV12 sports a fully carbon-fibre chassis to maximise rigidity.
