Ingredients
- 500g lean beef mince
- 2 onions, grated
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp cumin and 1 tsp coriander
- Sweet chilli sauce
- Nando’s Medium Peri Peri Sauce
- Bread crumbs to bind mixture or 3-4 slices stale bread
- Salt & pepper.
Method
Mix all the ingredients until well combined.
The mixture should be loose.
Grease a pyrex dish and put filling inside.
Pat the mince mixture down until it’s even in the dish.
For the mash, bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes; and drain.
In a small saucepan heat the butter and milk over low heat until the butter is melted.
Using a potato masher or electric beater, slowly blend milk mixture into potatoes until smooth and creamy.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Put mash over the raw mince filling, smooth over and dot with blobs of butter / margarine.
Pop into a 180 degree preheated oven and bake until golden brown.
