Ingredients
- 1kg lamb pieces
- 3 onions, chopped
- 4 medium sticks of cinnamon
- 6 peppercorns
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 4 potatoes cut into halves or quarters
Method
Place washed mutton pieces into a pot with the onions, stick cinnamon and peppercorns. Allow to cook and let meat stick to pot so that when you add water, it will make the meat brown.
When the meat is nice and tender, add your cauliflower and cook adding bits of water.
The more the meat is allowed to stick to the bottom of the pot, the browner the stew will become.
This is crucial to ensure that the cauliflower gets beautifully browned.
Serve it with white rice and beetroot salad.
