Four Hard Livings gang members are in the mang after cops confiscated their Christmas box of drugs worth R50 000 during a raid on Sunday.
According to a highly-placed police source, the men, aged between 19 and 35, were nabbed after residents piemped them to Manenberg police and they were caught red-handed packaging the drugs.
“The two brothers are known members of the HLs,” says the source.
“The officers searched the house in Thames Avenue after the community piemped them and found them in the main house as they were packaging the drugs in the voorkamer.
“Some of them ran to the back of the property but cops caught them and confiscated all their heroin and tik.
“They were taken to the
station and cops took their whole Christmas box of drugs.
“When they profiled them, they found all of them are HLs who mert there.”

Acting Manenberg station commander, Colonel Sanele Zama, confirms the suspects were arrested shortly before 1pm by the Crime Prevention Unit following a tip-off from the community.
“On searching the premises, officers found 229 units of unga, 252 units of tik, 12.7 grams of tik and 14 large bags of tik. The estimated street value of the drugs are R50 000.”
Zama says the four suspects will appear on drug dealing charges in the Athlone Magistrates’ Court on today.
“We have deployed our officers with a focus on disrupting any gang activity, including the drug trade, to prevent gang conflict that could lead to
violence.
“This deployment strategy has worked and the area has been saturated with police.”
