Alleged child killer Moehydien Pangaker, 54, was due to appear in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court today, but the matter was postponed due to the national lockdown.
The man accused of killing eight-year-old Tazne van Wyk of Ravensmead is expected back in court on July 31, said National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila.
Ntabazalila said the investigation is ongoing and more charges will likely be added to Pangaker’s rap sheet.
“Investigations are ongoing and additional dockets are being opened in respect of new complainants. Final decisions in respect of additional charges will be made upon finalisation of the investigation,” Ntabazalila said.

The Grade 3 pupil from Eurecon Primary School went missing on 7 February when she was snatched just metres from her home while her father attended to her four-month-old baby sister.
Police launched a manhunt after an eyewitness came forward fingering Pangaker as the man responsible for Tazne’s disappearance.
He was arrested in Cradock in the Eastern Cape nearly two weeks after Tazne’s disappearance and led police to a stormwater pipe in Worcester where he dumped the young girl’s body.
Pangaker has a long list of previous offenses, including murdering his own son.
