An alleged perly poacher literally landed in the dog box on Saturday when he was caught hiding in a dog kennel in Fish Hoek.
The dramatic scene played out in Sun Valley shortly after 5am where wakker armed response officers found him.
A source says Fish Hoek cops were at an accident on Ou Kaapse Weg when they spotted a suspicious looking bakkie.
The driver turned around when they saw cops and fled in the opposite direction and a car chase ensued.
Combat Force Manager Michael Cameron says they responded to Jangada Street when an alarm activated.
“The poachers were being chased by police and the Sun Valley Neighbourhood Watch and our armed response officers responded to a client’s home as there had been activity in the yard,” he says.
“The dog was barking like mad and when they looked inside the kennel, they found him hiding in there under a blanket in his diving suit.
