Police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk, says the deal went down at a property in Argyle Street on Tuesday.
“As the deal was concluded, the officers swooped on the premises and confiscated Mandrax tablets with a street value of R850,” he says.
“A full search of the house led to the discovery of various electronic items consisting of cellphones, PSPs, tablets as well as speakers.

Van Wyk says the home is also known for the illegal sale of alcohol and five crates of beer were confiscated.
An undisclosed amount of cash was confiscated.
The ouma and a 33-year-old were arrested and are due to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
