A Heideveld skollie has been sent to Pollsmoor Prison for 15 years after being caught red-handed stealing Prasa cables.
Abraham Terblanche, 33, was sentenced in the Wynberg Regional Court this week after he was found guilty of theft and damaging Prasa property.
Manenberg police’s Brigadier Enolium Joseph says Terblanche, who is also a 28s gangster, was bust along with 10 other men earlier this year for being part of a syndicate stealing cables at Heideveld Train Station.
Eleven males were caught by SAPS and Prasa Security officials, Joseph says.
The males scattered, but were cornered and arrested.
Terblanche received 15 years for theft and 15 for damaging Prasa property and his sentences will run concurrently.
The others suspects’ cases are still ongoing.
