Three City of Cape Town Law Enforcement officers are in trouble after a vuilbek video surfaced on social media this week, showing them vloeking at mense not abiding by the lockdown rules.
Following the announcement of the national lockdown by President Cyril Ramaphosa last week, a large contingent of cops flooded the streets of the Cape Flats to ensure mense stay indoors.
The video, which surfaced on WhatsApp groups on Sunday, shows the three City cops driving in Capricorn.
In the minute-long clip, seemingly filmed by one of the City cops, an officer can be heard shouting at a man walking on the pavement: “ Jy, stay in you f***ing house!”
The bang ou runs away as the officer shouts more obscenities: “ Julle dink dis ’n joke, ne! Julle ma se p***te.”

The trio drive further down the road and spot another man on the street; one cop encourages the other to “ chise him”.
They speed along the road and pass Masiejudul-Hudaa in Drury Road, where tyres are heard screeching as a cop shouts: “ Ja jou n***, hier kom ons!”
The vehicle pulls up next to the man, the driver is seen holding pepper spray and they confront the scared ou, who is holding flip-flops in his hand.
“Jy vat ons vir ‘* gat. Where do you stay, jou * ***?” they question him.
According to a police source, Law Enforcement officers had their hands full on Friday when the lockdown commenced.
“The people were just not listening. The officers cleared one area and then minutes later the people were on the streets again. They have incriminated themselves with that video and will probably get into big trouble for bringing the City into disrepute,” the soruce says.
Another anonymous source says City bosses were “j*s” when the video surfaced.
“We saw it on Sunday for the first time and the bosses were j*s when they saw it. They want to suspend them. Everyone swears, but at least they did not hit the people.”
City Director for Safety and Security Richard Bosman says the incident was brought to his attention late on Sunday night.

“We immediately set an
investigation in motion to identify the staff and area where it occurred,” he said.
“We condemn the deplorable behaviour on display in the video, and should it be confirmed that this is indeed City Law Enforcement staff, stern action will be taken.”
