The family of murdered mom Altecia Kortje and her seven-year-old daughter believe her boyfriend killed them because he could not deal with rejection.
The 28-year-old accused, who is the nephew of alleged Sexy Boys gang boss, Jerome “Donkie” Booysen, is expected to make his first appearance at the Bellville Magistrates’ Court today on a double charge of murder.
Cops arrested him on Friday, after the bodies of his estranged girlfriend Altecia, 27, and their daughter Raynecia Kortje were found inside his family’s home in Commerce Way, Belhar.
Altecia’s family says the house belonged to Donkie and that he was the one who had found the bodies on Friday.
LIFE CUT SHORT: Raynecia Kortje, 7
Police say Altecia was stabbed multiple times while Raynecia was found dead on the bathroom floor.
Sources close to the investigation reveal Raynecia had been drowned in bathwater.
The couple have two children, Raynecia and a nine-month-old baby boy.
Altecia also has a two-year-old son from a previous relationship.
Raynecia was in Grade 1 at Belhar Primary School and has been described as a bubbly, talkative little girl.
According to Altecia’s family, the couple had a rocky relationship, and had broken up several times.
They say last Monday, the young mother went to police to get an interdict against her berk.
They say the trouble started three days before, when he allegedly took his two children from Altecia, who lived with her family in Delft.
Altecia’s mother, Dorina Kortje, 54, explains: “He fetched the children on Friday (5 June). He just came and took them.
“On Monday, Altecia said she was going to get an interdict.”
Dorina says she last saw Altecia on Tuesday around 4pm: “She said she was going to fetch her children in Belhar.”

“The boyfriend was addicted to drugs and was very jealous,” says Dorina.
Dorina says her daughter was killed because she dumped the suspect: “I understand it is because she left him and he couldn’t take it.”

Dorina explains: “The Thursday when the police were there, they said they could not enter.
“They called out to see if anyone was there.
“On Friday afternoon when the uncle went home, the uncle being Donkie, found the bodies.
“If the police had helped my husband, my children (Altecia and Raynecia) would have been alive,”
