Police are urgently investigating a case of malicious damage to property after another train was set alight in Cape Town, this time between Kentemade and Century City train stations on Saturday.
This is the second train to burn in just 10 days.
The train en route to Cape Town was engulfed in flames just after 6pm.
It is not clear what the cause of the fire was.

Metrorail has been battling a spate of arson attacks and vandalism, resulting in its Central Line being shut down.
Metrorail spokesperson, Riana Scott, says the train is being assessed to estimate the damage and the cause of the fire.
“Metrorail confirms a fire on board a train travelling between Century City and Kentemade Station at 6.05pm,” she says.
“The near empty train was en route to Cape Town Station when the fire was reported.
“The Monte Vista railway lines are Transnet assets. Both lines were closed to allow Fire and Rescue to extinguish the fire. The lines have been reopened.

“The incident will be investigated to confirm the cause of the fire.”
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, says no arrests have been made yet.
“A case of malicious damage to property has been opened for investigation after a train burnt on Saturday at about 6pm, six coaches burned. No injuries were reported.”
