No load shedding is expected today when President Cyril Ramaphosa delivers his State of the Nation address (SONA) at
the opening of Parliament, Eskom said last night.
“Eskom has not implemented load shedding (yesterday) and the outlook is positive that there will be no load shedding (today),” the power utility said.
“Additional units have returned successfully today and emergency reserves are at adequate
levels.”
The company reminded customers, however, that the system remained vulnerable and load shedding could be implemented at short notice if there were any
changes.
An update would be issued this morning.
