Following a spate of robberies on their buses, Golden Arrow Bus Services is now offering a R50 000 reward for information that can lead to the arrest and conviction of the skelms.
The latest bus robbery occurred on Thursday at 8.30am.
The bus, en route to Claremont from Mitchells Plain, was ambushed by gunmen who robbed passengers and the bus driver of personal items.
Most robberies have been taking place on buses to or from Mitchells Plain and this is the fifth reported incident since September.
Golden Arrow spokesperson, Bronwen Dyke-Beyer says: “No injuries were reported but personal belongings were taken from the driver and passengers.
“These incidents make up a minuscule percentage of our total number of trips; however, one incident is an incident too many.
“We are offering a reward of R50 000 for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators of these robberies,” she says.
