Parow police are on the hunt for a hijacking trio from Eerste River who held a cab driver at gunpoint and kicked him out of his vehicle.
Parow Centre security manager, Ronald Pillai, says the skelms involved in the hijacking were caught on camera shortly after the incident just outside the mall on 23 September.
He says shortly before 8am the driver from Eerste River accepted a trip to Parow Centre.
“The passengers were two coloured males and along the way they picked up a coloured woman.

“They asked the driver to drop them near the Game staff entrance and then they took out a gun and hijacked him.”
Pillai says the second man got into the driver’s seat of the silver VW Polo and the trio fled after taking the driver’s cellphone.
The driver went to the Parow SAPS to lay a charge.
Pillai says the vehicle was fitted with a tracker and it was found later in the morning abandoned in Bellville.
“They were picked up on the cameras and while the police got the vehicle, they never found the suspects.”
