STEP UP: Minister Mbalula
“I have requested the minister to provide an update on when the long overdue return of a specialised drug and gang unit will help see improved safety conditions in our communities,” he said.
“I have also asked him to relook the police reservist policy considering that thousands of police reservists can contribute to the valuable work done by the police in the province who remain, at times, understaffed and under resourced.”
He says to keep children safe, his department launched over 50 Walking Buses in affected communities, where residents walk kids to and from school.
