Police say a self-confessed mert and dik ding in the 26s gang in Parkwood is back in the mang after he was caught with tik worth nearly R2000 hidden in his onderbroek on Friday.
Grassy Park station commander, Colonel Dawood Laing, says the man known as “Tamatie” gave his own game away as he started acting suspiciously when approached by a police officer outside his home in Willow Road.
The mert, who has been arrested several times and currently faces gun and drugs charges at Wynberg Magistrates’ Court, outed himself last year when he approached the Daily Voice amid claims from residents that he ordered the death of Deano Khan, 36, who had robbed his niece just days before he was killed.
Tamatie admitted to being a member of the 26s prison gang and the Americans gang in Parkwood but denied being the boss, claiming residents and cops were treating him unfairly.
Two weeks ago, Tamatie called the Daily Voice again to say he was no longer smokkeling tik and instead was working as a cleaner at Wynberg Park while he prepared for his trial, claiming he was turning his life around.

But Laing says while patrolling Willow Road on Friday, a police officer saw Tamatie standing in front of his council home.
“The 48-year-old man started acting suspiciously and the officer approached him and searched him,” says Laing.
“He was found with a large amount of money and 38 units of tik hidden in his underpants.
“The arresting officer is a seasoned cop who knows that they hide things in all sorts of places.”
Laing says the suspect will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court today on drug dealing charges.
