Manenberg residents got a skrik on Tuesday when they found the body of a dead man on a veldjie near a school.
Shortly before noon, a large group of residents gathered in Vygieskraal Road where they tried to establish the identity of the man who was wearing a blue hoodie, jeans and black Nike takkies
According to a source, the residents even moved the body to get a closer look at his face and discovered that he was shot three times. Police were then called to the scene.
“The people at the scene had no idea who he was and nobody heard shots so this is a big mystery,” the source says.
Manenberg Acting station Commander Colonel Sanele Zama says the body of a young man believed to be in his 20s was found behind a primary school.
