VIOLENCE CONTINUES: More shooting as gangs keep fighting
“The Hard Livings and the Ghettos are fighting with the Americans and the Clever Kidz. They called a meeting at the field but the Hard Livings just said they don’t want peace and the next night there was shootings,” he said.
The source says on Friday more than 20 shots rang out in Letaba Road as two gunmen opened fire in the street.
Relatives of Ayesha Ismail, 52, says they were at a nearby shop when the shooting started.
The relative, who asked not to be named, says they ran home and as Ayesha opened the door, the gunmen shot her several times. She was declared dead on the scene.

His wife, Zainab, says he was not on patrol at the time. The family got a skrik when Salie ran in the house saying he had been shot.
“Yoh, ons het groot geskrik. He was shot in his chest and left arm and they took him to Heideveld hospital. They moved him to Groote Schuur where they removed the bullets. He has four children and suffers from arthritis but is an active member of the watch. There has been a lot of shooting in this area recently,” says Zainab.
