Zainodien Moerat, 68, was last seen by his family on 25 September at Lungango Court in Hanover Park.
The diminutive dad of four lives in Hanover Park with two of his children and 25 cats.
According to sources close to the investigation, it’s believed his disappearance has to do with alleged abuse at home.
The old man was called a “tokoloshe” and a “dwarf”’ on social media after he was accused of conning mense while begging for money at robots on the Cape Flats.
He has become a well-known sight in his green blazer and fez.
Police say at the time of his disappearance, Zainodien was dressed in a blue jersey, black trousers and navy blue jacket, with a white fez.
On Monday, Dessie Rechner, the director of the Pink Ladies, confirmed Zainodien was still missing.
Zainodien’s son, also named Zainodien, tells the Daily Voice: “We are just worried about my dad. He was last spotted in Rylands on Friday.”

Zainodien made headlines in May this year when two young men threatened to harm him with a hammer and blindfolded him with a towel, accusing the old man of scamming mense by lying about his wife’s death in order to gain their sympathy.
Videos of the incident were posted on Facebook showing the men placing Zainodien’s finger into the engine, giving him a jolt, and locking his arm in a vice.
The old man was forced to “admit” he is a conman.
The videos sparked outrage, and the men were forced to apologise after they were tracked down to their workplace, Alpine Auto Electric, in Grassy Park.
In May, Zainodien’s son told the Daily Voice that his father was a retired truck driver who suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease, which makes him forgetful.

Ten years ago Zainodien’s wife of 38 years, Adielah, 57, died after suffering from pancreatic cancer.
Zainodien said after losing their mother, his father was never the same again.
A neighbour previously told the Daily Voice the pensioner roamed the streets because he was not happy at home.
Before the paper could ask Zainodien Jr. about it, he sent a message saying he would sue anyone who made allegations of abuse.
On Monday, when asked about the abuse allegations, he said: “We feel terrible as there is no abuse happening.”
