Lawyers of the man accused of ramming his car into a six-year-old girl and her nanny while they stood on a pavement have asked for time to review documents.
The driver, Moegamat Rafiek Hayners, 24, of Hanover Park made an appearance at the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday where he is facing a charge of culpable homicide.
Hayners is currently out on R5000 bail.
The courtroom was packed with the family of little Shaylynn Arendse, dressed in white T-shirts with her face printed on.
Hayners' lawyers asked for the matter to be postponed to 27 March.
Last month the State confirmed crime scene photographs, chain statements, the ambulance report and the post-mortem report had been received, but that they were still waiting for the accident report.

Hayners is believed to have been the driver of a white VW Golf that was driving down Strandfontein Road towards 5th Avenue in Lotus River on 27 September last year that struck Shaylynn and her nanny Maureen Abrahams while they stood on the pavement.
They were on their way to a nearby shop.
Hayners handed himself over to police days after the incident and after cops found the vehicle abandoned in Hanover Park.
