Police say two people have been arrested in two separate incidents in Kraaifontein in connection with illegal dealing in liquor, cigarettes, and drugs, and goods and cash worth over R240 000 have been seized.
To “ensure that offenders of the law” are brought to book, members of the Kraaifontein SAPS arrested a 46-year-old woman for allegedly being in possession of presumed stolen property, illegally dealing in liquor and drugs, as well as contravention of the Disaster Management Act regulations on Thursday, SAPS spokesman Colonel Andrè Traut said.
The woman was arrested after an intelligence-driven operation led officers to Buiten Crescent in Scottsdene, where more than 1300 bottles of liquor, worth about R200 000, were confiscated.
Tik and over R40 000 in cash were also seized during the operation, he said.
