A security guard on duty at a local Engen garage in Grassy Park nabbed two boewe who robbed a man of money he had just withdrawn at an ATM on Monday morning.
The victim was accosted just after 7am when he had withdrawn R500 from the Standard Bank ATM.
The man was getting ready to leave when two guys jumped him and demanded his money.
He handed over his cash and the two ran off, without hurting him.
The victim then spotted the private security guard parked at the Engen petrol station and told him what had happened.
The guard immediately sprang into action and gave chase, and managed to catch the skelms single-handedly.
The victim arrived on the scene and his cash was returned to him.
Police from Grassy Park SAPS were called to the scene and the two men were arrested, according to a statement from Zone Security.
