Police have busted a second member of the Fancy Boys gang accused of raping a Heideveld father and forcefully tattooing gang tjappies on his hand.
As the investigation into the horrific rape continues, police have revealed that a second suspect will appear in the Athlone Magistrates’ Court this week.
The 25-year-old victim was left traumatised after the brutal rape in which a group of four skollies force him into a flat in Patricia Court where they repeatedly sodomised him.
Residents, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told the Daily Voice that as the gang embarks on their turf war across Heideveld, they have started forcing young men and boys to join the gang.
“The Fancy Boys run a pella pos in that flat and they recently all became Fancy Boys but they were Americans first,” a resident says.
“They always targeted him and even held him at gunpoint to become a member but he refused.
“They took him in that flat by force and sodomised him and later we saw he had the tjappie.
“He has a young son and is so traumatised he had to be taken away from his home for his safety,” said a woman who asked not to be identified.
Last week the father went to Manenberg Police Station where he reported that four skollies forced him into the toilet of the flat where they raped him and tjapped the letters FBS on his hand.
On Friday, cops arrested the first suspect and he made his first appearance in Athlone Court on Monday.
SAPS’ FC van Wyk confirms the second arrest and says: “This office can confirm that a second suspect, aged 22, was arrested.
“The suspect will be making his first court appearance on Thursday.”
