The body of an unknown man has been found on a railway bridge in Parow Industria.
Curious mense got out of their cars to ask the police on the scene about the incident.
The body was on the bridge along De La Rey Road, and a crowd of people including children gathered around at the scene.
An Uitsig resident, Rachel Williams, 38, says: “Earlier (yesterday) at about 7am I was walking by the scene and I saw a lot of police vans and I saw there was a man lying on the ground.
“All I found out was that the man had been shot in the head and that is all I was told by the police, and even after I saw his face, I still didn’t recognise him.”
The man wore a lime green bib and a white shirt which was soaked in blood.
And his face, which was dark of complexion, was bloodied.
Police spokesperson FC van Wyk says the police are investigation the circumstances of the murder.
“Ravensmead Police are investigating a murder case after the body of an unknown man was found yesterday morning at 6.45am on the railway bridge at De La Rey Road.
“The body was discovered by people who were going to work and inform the police,”he adds.
“Circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation.”
