Voice recording evidence is still outstanding in the case of Shakoor Roberts, accused of murdering his 61-year-old mother, Gafsa Roberts, and then hiding her body in a wheelie bin.
Last year the matter was on the roll at the Mitchells Plain Regional Court for a final date after countless delays.
On Wednesday, Roberts made a brief appearance where he heard that two recordings that will prove his guilt were outstanding.
The recordings are expected to be played in open court on 5 February.
Neighbours found Gafsa’s decomposed body in the bin in front of her home in Winterhoek Street in Tafelsig on 2 March 2015.
