Levona Jacobs is a “dangerous narcissist with psychopath traits”.
This is according to Professor Sean Kaliski who gave his expert opinion at the Cape High Court during mitigation and aggravation of sentencing on Tuesday.
Jacobs, 40, was convicted of the murders of her aunt, Virna Jacobs, 47, and cousin, Rowena, 26, who had two minor children.
Judge Mushtak Parker found Jacobs guilty on all 10 counts she was facing, including murder, theft, kidnapping, fraud and forgery, and defeating the ends of justice.
Professor Kaliski says Jacobs spent six weeks at Valkenberg Hospital and had been very “guarded,” not allowing them to thoroughly assess her.
He said they found Jacobs to be a danger to society.
“She is manipulative, lacks remorse, lacks empathy, does not accept responsibility.
“She is a current danger for people, mentally and physically.
“Right now she is passively violent and unpredictable.
“A full blown psychotic would score 18 out of 24, she scored 12.
“Thirty years ago, she would have gotten the death sentence, the court would not have thought twice.”

He also found her to be narcissistic, saying: “A narcissist thinks they will get away with it.
“They usually say they cannot remember or say someone was lying.”
Judge Parker said, ironically, that that had been Jacobs’ defence - that she could not remember or that someone had lied.
State prosecutor Carine Theunissen said because Jacobs was deemed dangerous, the court should consider giving her to an “indefinite” sentence, to be reassessed after 25 years.
Sentencing has been set for 19 September.
Jacobs killed her relatives to gain ownership of their house in Sering Street, Delft South.
The women’s bodies were dug up in their backyard by family and cops in December 2015. They had been suffocated.
